TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Goodyear, Arizona. The specialty is Med Surg with RN discipline; duration is 13 weeks and 36 hours per week on a night shift.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS, CPI certifications are required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
