TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Topeka, Kansas.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and is available for a 12-week assignment at 36 hours per week on a night shift. Travel requirements include providing bedside care, med administration, dressings, and patient education in a fast-paced Med‑Surg unit.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel RN assignment for 12 weeks in Topeka, KS.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educates patients on procedures and postoperative care.
