Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role requires strong Med Surg leadership, direct patient care as needed, and collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting, with willingness to work nights and participate in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained
• ACLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained
• At least 1 year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg
• PALS (AHA) required on hire and maintained

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and implement necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.

Department: Med Surg

Shifts Available: Nights

Pay: up to $672 – $768 gross pay per shift; equivalent to $56.00 – $64.00 per hour.

Assignment Length: 12 weeks

• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency:

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.00 to $60.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
