Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Coos Bay, Oregon. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and will perform bedside assessments, document findings, and provide education to patients and families.

As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you will administer medications, prepare for rounds, assist with pre- and post-operative care, participate in discharge planning, and support a fast-paced Med/Surg unit on a 13-week

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform bedside care and patient education.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to a fast-paced Med/Surg unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments; prepare equipment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
