Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel assignment in Little Rock, Arkansas. This Med/Surg role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 13-week contract, 36 hours per week, with day 12-hour shifts.

As a MedSurg Travel Nurse, you will perform bedside assessments, administer medications, change dressings, and participate in discharge planning while ensuring patient and family education.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Provide, record, and monitor prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education as prescribed.
