Position Overview

As the Travel MDS Coordinator with WesleyLife, you will be responsible for ICD-10 coding, setting and completing accurate MDS ARDs, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure care plans are precise and comprehensive, following corporate, ethical, and legal standards. In coordination with the MDS Reimbursement Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and quality-focused completion of MDS for WesleyLife, maximizing reimbursement.

You will also cover community MDS responsibilities during vacancies, leaves, or times of agency staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete nursing assessments and Baseline Care Plans.
  • Participate in developing and revising written care plans, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and certification guidelines.
  • Coordinate RAI processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of MDS, CAA, and Care Plans.
  • Conduct the nursing process—Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation—per state Nurse Practice Act for RN licensure.
  • Code resident ICD-10 diagnoses upon admission and as diagnoses resolve.
  • Participate in oversight and improvement of Quality Measures.
