Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high-risk obstetrics clinic.

Details

• Outpatient high-risk pregnancy clinic with 6 ultrasound rooms at one facility and 2 rooms at a second hospital
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to MFM physicians
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with a high-risk maternal/fetal patient population
• 5x8 day shift schedule, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends, no nights, no major holidays, no on-call requirement
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
• May float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, including OB/GYN and outpatient settings
• BLS, ARDMS, and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
• NT certification required
• Fetal echo experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active, unencumbered state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform detailed fetal and maternal ultrasound exams including anatomical surveys, nuchal translucency screening, amniotic fluid index, and umbilical cord Doppler studies
• Work with patients across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging including multiple pregnancy cases
• Evaluate fetal anatomy including head, heart, abdomen, cerebellum, bone lengths, and extremities
• Scrubs of any color without prints are required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a local bill rate
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration
