American Traveler is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in Spokane, WA. The role supports a high-risk clinic with multiple ultrasound rooms and requires ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification, plus Epic EMR experience.

You will perform detailed OB/GYN ultrasounds, assist with invasive procedures, and report to 3 physicians, all while maintaining a 40-hour work week on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certifications required.
• BLS certification required; license/compressed state license in hand if applicable.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform 7–9 detailed OB/GYN ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians.
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS and PUBS procedures.
• Work with GE ultrasound equipment and PACS; document in Epic EMR.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio and support high-risk maternal/fetal care.
• Adhere to schedule: 5x8 hr day shifts; no weekends/nights/major holidays.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with 2+ years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience and ARDMS OB/GYN & NT certification.

Details

• High Risk Pregnancy Clinic setting across 6 ultrasound rooms at one facility and 2 rooms at a second hospital
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
• High-risk maternal and fetal patient population requiring detailed ultrasound imaging
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
• Epic EMR experience required
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends, no nights, no major holidays, no on-call requirement
• May float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a sonographer required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• OB/GYN and outpatient experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency with fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screening, and amniotic fluid index
• Experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging and multiple pregnancy assessments
• Skilled in transvaginal, vaginal, renal/pelvis, ovarian, and uterine ultrasound
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Perform detailed obstetric and fetal ultrasounds including fetal anatomy, heart, abdomen, head, and extremities
• Assist physicians with high-risk maternal and fetal condition management
• Scrubs must be any color with no print
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the health system
• Accepts candidates within a 50-mile local radius, though eligible at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission and are subject to hiring manager approval
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
