Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and prior travel assignment experience for an inpatient/outpatient hospital setting in Eureka, CA.

The position entails inpatient and outpatient mammography work, a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM start on 5x8 shifts, and requires CA licensure, BLS, and ARRT certifications. Experience with 3-D mammography and EPIC EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Mammography Technologist.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• CA state license required; license if applicable.
• Experience with 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions.
• Ability to teach breast self-exams.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient mammography department.
• Monday through Friday day shift, 5x8 hours starting at 8:00 AM.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems.
• May require floating between sister facilities near the contracted site.
• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures including 3-D and stereotactic biopsies.
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays.
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate.
• Former permanent staff must wait 3 months and reside more than 50 miles away to return as traveler.
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience required.

• Digital quality assurance procedure experience preferred
