Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in 3-D mammography and stereotactic biopsy procedures. The role includes day shifts, potential travel to sister facilities, and holiday coverage in a hospital setting.

The position requires Epic EMR experience, a current BLS certification, and a valid state license where applicable. Local candidates may be offered a lower rate; travel candidates eligible for higher pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Proficiency with 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Fine Needle Aspiration, Needle Localizations, Screening Mammograms, and Stereotactic Biopsy
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Mammography department setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Uses Hologic 3D and Hologic Affi BX equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
