Focus Staff is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a Berlin, Vermont assignment. The role requires ARRT and Mammography certs, BLS, and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with 1–2 years ofMammo experience preferred.

The position is a 16-week travel assignment, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour days. Focus Staff provides benefits, licensure reimbursement, housing stipends, and 24/7 support to help you deliver compassionate patient care during breast imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Current Mammography certification (ARRT-M) is required.
• State licensure if required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–2 years of Mammography Technologist experience preferred.
• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and establish rapport.
• Instructs patients and family regarding tests and assesses tolerance of the exam.
• Prepares patient/area for mammography by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Follows safety, infection-control, and radiation policies and maintains hand hygiene.
• Collaborates with engineers/physicists to ensure equipment readiness and reports issues.
• Obtains and verifies documentation such as requisitions, patient history, and shielding precautions.

Mammo Tech Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification required
• Current Mammography certification (ARRT-M) required

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience preferred
• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures preferred

Mammo Tech Responsibilities:

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to: identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others.
• Instructs/communicates with patient and/or patient`s family regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient`s ability to tolerate exam.
• Prepares patient or area for mammography procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive mammography procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.
• Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Reports issues to management or appropriate department.
• Obtains, verifies and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status and shielding precautions taken, consent forms, etc
