Job summary

Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for Bethel, Alaska. This 9-week assignment involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour days, in a travel staffing arrangement.

You will perform laboratory tests, communicate results to physicians and patients, operate instrumentation, and act as a generalist while mentoring lab assistants. Expected ASAP start, with ASCP or NCA certification within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• Certification in Mammography required; ASCP or NCA certification within one year of employment.
• ASAP start date and 9-week travel assignment.
• 40 hours per week; shift 8 hours, days.
• Travel employment with stipend; details subject to confirmation.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures under the direction of the laboratory manager.
• Communicate laboratory results with physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Operate and maintain clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Function as a laboratory generalist with a variety of responsibilities.
• Work independently and direct Medical Laboratory Assistants as needed.
• Ensure tasks meet standards and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain records and documentation for all laboratory activities.
• Collaborate with team to promote efficient operations.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
• Complete and maintain required certifications within one year of employment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
