Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a days shift in breast imaging. ARRT(M) certification and BLS are required, with 1+ year of experience preferred. You will operate mammography and related imaging equipment in a breast imaging center, adhering to MQSA/ACR guidelines.

The role involves 4x10 hour shifts, patient education, quality control, and coordination of scheduling while maintaining HIPAA compliance. CEU credits and CPR are expected to stay current.

Qualifications

• ARRT(M) certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of breast imaging experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mammography, stereotactic procedures, MQSA/ACR guidelines.
• Experience with contrast agents and sterile technique.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn online tasks within 90 days.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift with occasional bending.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assist with ultrasound biopsy.
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, middle-aged and geriatric patients.
• Days shift: 4x10 hour shifts.
• Follow MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging procedures.
• Perform breast imaging procedures and review exams for technical accuracy before presenting to radiologist.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures to support continuity of care.
• Conduct and document quality control to ensure equipment meets MQSA and ACR safety standards.
• Coordinate scheduling of breast imaging appointments and assist with departmental workflow management.
• Participate in orientation of new employees and ongoing departmental education initiatives.
• Maintain required CEU credits per ARRT guidelines and stay current with CPR certification.
• Must be HIPAA compliant.
