Focus Staff is seeking a Travel Mammography Tech for an assignment in Greenbrae, CA. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography with ARRT and ARRT-M certifications, in a patient-centered care setting across a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Current Mammography certification (ARRT-M) is required.
• State licensure if required must be current.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Mammography Technologist experience is preferred.
• Experience in screening and diagnostic mammography procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses AIDET to communicate with patients and identify service needs.
• Instructs patients and families about the test and assesses tolerance for the exam.
• Prepares patient and area, positions patient, and sets exposure factors for mammography.
• Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies during procedures.
• Collaborates with engineers/physicists to ensure equipment operates correctly and reports issues.
• Maintains and verifies all required documentation (requisitions, charts, history, shielding).
