American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience, proficient in both mammography and DEXA imaging. The role involves radiology department duties, operating Hologic systems, and scheduling specifics for routine and diagnostic breast imaging.

The position runs day shift 08:00–16:30 on a 26-week assignment, with benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, weekly payroll, and access to free online CEUs.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Current BLS certification through AHA.
• Proficient in both Mammography and DEXA imaging.
• Experienced in diagnostic and routine breast imaging.
• License required if applicable and verified within 30 days of start.

Responsabilidades

• Radiology department performing mammography and bone densitometry services.
• Uses Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography System and Hologic Horizon DXA System.
• Performs routine breast imaging scheduled every 30 minutes.
• Performs diagnostic breast imaging scheduled every 40 minutes.
• Performs DEXA scans scheduled every 20 minutes.
• Greets patients, explains procedures, and confirms imaging requests prior to exams.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment for mammographic imaging.
• Maintains radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Documents patient services through chart completion.
• Forwards completed studies to radiologist for interpretation.
