Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care facility in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires active RN licensure, ACLS/BLS credentials, and at least 1 year in LTAC or similar settings. You will deliver high-acuity care, coordinate with the team, and support discharge planning.

The assignment is 13 weeks long with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Pay packages will be determined with stipends and tax considerations. Prior LTAC experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Requires current BLS certification and eligibility for state licensure.
• ACLS and additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications and monitor vital signs and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Monitor patients, ensure hygiene, mobility, and nutrition support.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to maintain quality care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Document care activities and real-time updates.
