Job summary
TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Canton, Ohio. The ideal candidate has at least one year of LTAC experience, current BLS/ACLS certifications, and state licensure eligibility.
You will provide direct nursing care, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and discharge planning. As an RN in LTAC, you will care for patients with serious conditions requiring extended hospital-level care,
Qualifications
- One year of LTAC or high-acuity RN experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- State licensure eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer IV meds, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
- Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers.
- Support mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Document care activities accurately in real time; participate in rounds.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
