Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a LTAC ICU assignment in Columbia, SC. The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity settings, with BLS and eligibility for state licensure.

The position features a 13-week duration, 36 hours per week, night shifts, and travel employment. The RN will provide direct patient care, monitor conditions, and work with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN with ICU exposure and critical care experience.
• Commitment to travel nursing assignments.
• Willingness to meet licensure requirements in SC.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vital signs and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in rounds and communicate patient status updates.
• Document care activities in real time and assist with admissions and discharges.
