Job summary
Sanford Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in long‑term care settings. The role requires travel within a 75-mile radius of the permanent address, with premium pay and weekend/evening shift differentials.
The LPN will administer medications, contribute to care plans, monitor residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and well‑being. Prior LPN licensure and relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- Must have an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Minimum of 18 years of age and licensure requirements.
- Continuing education and competency training required annually.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Demonstrate nursing principles within resident care plans.
- Assess residents and communicate changes to the team.
- Assist in emergent situations and maintain safety for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
