Qualifications

• Current KS license/certification in good standing for LPN position.
• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) if required by licensing board.
• Current required certifications and compliance documents (BLS, TB screening, Hepatitis B, and vaccination proofs).

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating medical services and prevent duplication or improper use.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records.
• Observe, document, and report inmate/resident health status and conditions.
• Inspect medical areas for contraband and safely secure or dispose supplies.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate medical, statistical, and incident reports.
• Interpret medical procedures, regulations, and orders.
• Coordinate medical treatment and case management for serious health conditions.
• Communicate effectively with staff, inmates/residents, families, and administration.
• Support safety programs and accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate movement for medical treatment and assist investigations as needed.
