Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Lineman to join our traveling crew. The position requires staying away from home for extended periods with weekly travel and occasional local assignments as exceptions.

The Lineman will install, operate, repair, and maintain overhead telecommunications lines, reading plans and specs, and working at heights. Strong safety habits and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of Lineman experience.
• Experience reading engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications.
• Experience operating truck mounted aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform digging, pole setup and laying cable between poles.
• Repair and maintain major cable systems and structures.
• Read work orders and engineering documents to determine tasks.
• Operate aerial and underground equipment as needed.
• Set up traffic control signs and cones and direct traffic.
• Complete timesheets, reports, and expenses according to company procedures.
• Adhere to safety policies and work safely at heights (>20 ft).
• Assist with general accounting tasks and other assignments as needed.
