Job summary
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse for travel assignments to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in the L&D setting. The role emphasizes applying nursing processes, clinical judgment, and adherence to standards in intrapartum and postpartum care.
Requirements include an active RN license in the state, L&D experience preferred, CPR certification, and health certificate.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice.
- One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience within the last three years preferred.
- RNC-OB certification preferred.
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process and deliver patient care in the L&D setting.
- Monitor mothers’ vital signs and recognize signs of potential complications.
- Provide patient education and address psychosocial needs after delivery.
- Coordinate care for postpartum and newborns during recovery and transition to maternal-child care.
