Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. The role involves delivering expert care to mothers and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree, and relevant certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS) with at least 18 months of acute care L&D experience, for a 16-week assignment at 36 hours per week, including night shifts.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS AWHONN certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Labor and Delivery (L&D) setting
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide care for women before, during and after delivery.
• Monitor vital signs of mother and newborn during birth.
• Monitor for potential high-risk problems and intervene as needed.
• Educate and support mothers and families after delivery.
