Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for Augusta, GA. The 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts and ASAP start. The right RN will have 3 years of acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications.

As an L&D nurse, you will support mothers before, during and after delivery, assist with epidurals or cesarean prep, monitor progress, and provide immediate newborn care. TotalMed RN benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• 2+ years of travel nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor dilation.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up fluids.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, instruments.
• Immediate care of newborn.
