Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Issaquah, Washington. The assignment is 26 weeks long with 36 hours per week, featuring 12-hour night shifts. Immediate need for an RN with acute care experience and L&D-specific certifications.

Responsibilities include monitoring labor, assisting during epidurals or cesarean deliveries, and providing care for newborns. Benefits include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and more.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care RN experience
• BLS, AWHONN, FHM, NRP, and additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.
• L&D RN responsibilities include monitoring labor, assisting during delivery, and ensuring patient needs are met throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry, clean up body fluids before/after birth.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
