American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor & Delivery in Knoxville, Tennessee. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week on a three-night (12-hour) schedule, with on-call duties and limited time off during major holidays.

Start date is 01/12/2026. A TN/compact RN license and 2+ years of L&D experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, NRP and AWHONN/NIHSS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
• Active TN or compact RN license to practice in Tennessee.
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• AWHONN certification required; NIHSS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting.
• Care for laboring, postpartum, and couplet patients.
• Maintain nurse-patient ratios: 1:2 in labor, 1:8 in postpartum/couplets.
• Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts weekly (18:45-07:15).
• Float to other units as needed; on-call for 2 shifts per 6-week cycle.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients.
