Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Torrance, California. The RN will provide care before, during, and after delivery, supporting both medical and emotional needs of patients throughout the birthing process.

The position requires 3 years of acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, and NRP. This travel role includes 12-hour night shifts and includes a tax-free stipend where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervical progression and monitor dilation.
• Ensure beds are clean and dry; manage fluids and birthing area.
• Assist physician with drapes, instruments and newborn care.
