Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 10-week assignment in Baltimore, MD. This travel role requires 3 years of acute care experience, BLS and NRP certifications, and the ability to work 12-hour nights with 36 hours per week.

As an L&D RN you will support physicians during epidurals and cesarean prep, monitor labor, assist with newborn care, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the birthing process. Travel nurses are supported with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• L&D knowledge and patient care in obstetric setting.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Maintain clean, dry beds; manage fluids and cleanliness during delivery.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
