American Traveler is a travel RN agency recruiting for a Labor & Delivery role in Carmel, Indiana. The assignment offers a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and a travel benefit package.

Ideal candidates hold an IN or compact RN license, with at least 2 years of L&D experience, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification. Lodging, stipends, and per diems may apply, with overnight shifts and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Active IN license or compact license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• NRP certification (AHA/AAP) required.
• Fetal monitoring certification within last 2 years if not covered on competency exam.
• Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Must provide US SSN and US home address.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level 3 Labor & Delivery unit with multiple rooms and OR suites.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages.
• Circulate for Cesarean sections when needed.
• Collaborate with midwives and OB physicians for patient safety and outcomes.
• Support both medicated and unmedicated labor plans and monitor fetal status.
