Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in Dickinson, North Dakota. The role requires 3 years of acute care experience and entails 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a travel employment type.

Responsibilities include monitoring labor, assisting anesthesia and physicians, caring for newborns, and maintaining safety and patient comfort in a high-demand setting. ACLS/NRP/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervical dilation and labor progression.
• Maintain clean, dry beds; manage spills and fluids.
• Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns and instruments.
• Provide immediate newborn care after delivery.
• Lift or move patients up to 50 pounds; assist as needed.
• Manage stress in a fast-paced environment and communicate with diverse patients.
