Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Elko, Nevada. The 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, with travel employment and competitive pay and benefits.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of L&D RN experience, valid RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Preferred certifications include AWHONN fetal monitoring and ACLS, with licensure reimbursement and 24/7 recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
