Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Polson, Montana. The position offers nights, 12-hour shifts, and the opportunity to impact patient care across obstetric settings.

As part of our travel team, you will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe delivery and postpartum care.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing practice
• Prepare equipment and assist the physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
