Job summary

TravelNurseSource, in partnership with Fusion Medical Staffing, is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. You\'ll provide obstetric care, monitor mothers and newborns, and collaborate with a clinical team while enjoying competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Requirements include 1 year of L&D RN experience, Virginia RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Additional certifications like AWHONN fetal monitoring, STABLE, ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Virginia.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed obstetric medications and treatments.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to improve outcomes.
