Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide skilled care in the Labor and Delivery unit and collaborate with the healthcare team.

The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:00) and weekend requirements. Active RN licensure and obstetric experience are required, along with BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Experience in labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates throughout labor.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Interpret fetal heart tracings and recognize potential complications.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including common OB medications.
• Assist in placing epidurals and support pain management protocols.
• Participate in patient huddles and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.
