Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Kokomo, IN. As a member of our team, you'll provide obstetric care, monitor fetal status, educate patients, and collaborate with the obstetric team to ensure high-quality care.

The start date is 10/05/2026 with a 36-hour work week on 12-hour day shifts. This travel role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated clinical support from our team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including maternal/newborn assessment and stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members for cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
