Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Required Qualifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Required Qualifications: AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Required Qualifications: 3 years of relevant experience
• Required Qualifications: location requirements as applicable
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to mom-baby units and managing occasional sections
• Preferred Qualifications: familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring systems and hospital charting system EPIC
• Additional Information: Unit comprises 12 labor, delivery, and postpartum beds, with additional triage and birth suites
• Additional Information: Staff must follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios
• Additional Information: Experience required in circulating and managing drips, including titratable and set-rate infusions
• Additional Information: No charge nurse assignment; surgical techs and neonatologists are available 24/7
• Additional Information: In-house anesthesia and respiratory therapy are provided round-the-clock
• Additional Information: Telemonitoring requires RNs to read their own strips; no monitor techs are present
• Additional Information: Unit employs a modified self-scheduling system with weekend and holiday requirements
• Additional Information: Floating to other maternity units may be necessary
• Additional Information: Orientation specific to the unit is provided
• Additional Information: Shifts are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., every other weekend
• Additional Information: The hospital may cancel up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment
