American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN/Labor & Delivery in Carmel, Indiana. The assignment runs for 13 weeks at a Level 3 Perinatal Center with a night 12-hour shift schedule (19:00–07:30) and 36 hours per week. Start ASAP.

Eligible travelers may receive per diem and comprehensive benefits. The position requires an active RN license, BLS, NRP, and neonatal monitoring credentials, with a minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery and Nursys verification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• BLS certification by AHA required.
• NRP certification required.
• Fetal Monitoring certification within past 2 years if not on competency exam.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 3 Perinatal Center requiring BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Level 3 Perinatal Center caring for high-risk obstetrical patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans in accordance with organizational protocols
• Serve as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs with the healthcare team
• One submission per candidate is allowed for Ascension system-wide positions
• Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced rate based on distance from the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this role

Requirements

• Active RN license required and primary source/license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification by AHA/AAP required
• Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN, Relias, or similar within past 2 years if not covered on competency exam)
• Nursys license verification required prior to assignment
• All travelers must provide a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
