Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact license and intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Primarily provides care for laboring mothers and newborns, with occasional duties in Post-Partum/Ante-Partum areas within Women's and Infants scope
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 to 07:00)
• Every other weekend work required
• Potential for block scheduling based on unit needs
• Responsible for comprehensive L&D nursing care, including fetal monitoring and advanced interventions
• May be floated within scope to Women’s and Infants areas as needed
• Expect to work some holidays as assigned
• All RTO must be discussed during interview and included in confirmation if approved
• Must complete required modules during orientation and annually
• Scrub color or dress code details not specified

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification required
• Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and ACLS required
• Must live more than 25 miles from the facility
• Open to first-time travelers based on experience
