Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds, clean up bodily fluids before and after delivery.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.

Qualifications

• RN licensure.
• Minimum 3 years recent acute care experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, 5 Years.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift 20 lbs (up to 50 lbs when required).
