Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week assignment in Ganado, AZ, focusing on unstable newborn stabilization and care while awaiting transport to a higher level of care.

The nurse will provide care for unstable newborns in a Level I unit, with potential temporary Level II or higher responsibilities, and must be able to recognize deterioration and initiate stabilization.

Qualifications

• Strong recent Labor and Delivery experience
• NICU experience, or experience in a Level II or higher nursery
• Confidence caring for unstable newborns
• Ability to work independently in a critical-access environment

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery and recovery
• Monitor maternal and fetal status
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies
• Assist with deliveries and immediate postpartum care
• Perform newborn assessments and stabilization
• Support higher-acuity newborns awaiting transport
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders
• Educate mothers and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams
