American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in Washington, requiring 3 years of travel experience in L&D and couplet care/postpartum/mother-baby. You will work in the hospital's Labor & Delivery unit on a night shift (NOC), 3x12s, 36 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities and potential to float as a sitter.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license required.
• 3 years travel experience in Labor and Delivery and couplet care/postpartum.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and FHM.
• Must follow Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital.
• Night shift 19:00–08:00, 3x12s, 36 hrs/week.
• Float as a sitter and may rotate.
• On-call responsibilities.
• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures.
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond to changes in status.
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information.
• Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy.
