Job summary

Advantis Medical Staffing seeks a Labor and Delivery Travel RN for a 12-week assignment at UConn - John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, CT. The role includes nights, a 3x12 schedule, and duties across labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

The RN will perform maternal/fetal assessments, monitor fetal status, administer meds, and provide newborn care in line with hospital protocols and NRP guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Active Connecticut RN License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret maternal and fetal status, including electronic fetal monitoring, escalating concerns promptly.
• Support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including oxytocin titration as ordered and per facility protocol.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support neonatal resuscitation per NRP guidelines.
