Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 17-week assignment in Auburn, Washington. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe labor, delivery, and postpartum support.

The role requires one year of L&D RN experience, active RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certification. Travel pay is competitive with benefits and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Valid RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams
• Provide postpartum care and newborn assessment
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital, state, and federal guidelines
• Perform other duties within labor and delivery scope
