L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery. L&D RNs must ensure that the medical as well as emotional needs of their patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; additional certs may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor progress and contractions throughout delivery.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, delivery instruments and cesarean prep as needed.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support for mother before, during and after delivery.
