Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Loveland, CO. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert obstetric care while experiencing a new community and working with a dedicated clinical team.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent Labor and Delivery experience, an active RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Active RN license in good standing with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization.
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and teams to deliver cohesive care.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
Support quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
