Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, MA. The role involves caring for mothers and newborns, monitoring fetal status, and collaborating with the obstetric team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of L&D experience, an active RN license in MA, and BLS plus NRP certification. Travel benefits include competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Formación

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsabilidades

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examinations
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
