Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse RN for a travel assignment in Grand Island, NE. The role requires 3 years of recent acute care experience and involves 12-hour night shifts on a 36-hour weekly schedule.

As an L&D travel nurse, you will monitor labor, assist with pain management and epidurals, and provide immediate newborn care. ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required; 13-week assignment with flexibility on start date.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required.
• Ability to cope with high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix progression and dilation.
• Maintain patient safety and cleanliness around the birthing area.
• Assist physicians with delivery tools and procedures.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
