Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Illinois. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours weekly with 12-hour night shifts and an ASAP start.

The right candidate has 3 years of acute care RN experience and current BLS/NRP/ACLS credentials. L&D RNs provide care during all stages of delivery, assist physicians with epidurals and cesarean prep, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the birthing process.

Qualifications

• 3 years' acute care RN experience required.
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with labor and delivery procedures preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods in a fast-paced env.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assist physicians with delivery procedures as needed.
• Provide immediate care of newborn after delivery.
