Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Bentonville, Arkansas. This role focuses on maternal and neonatal care, labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum services, with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of L&D RN experience, current RN license, BLS, and NRP. Preferred certifications include AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC) preferred
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn stabilization
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and others to ensure cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care and assessments in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing
