Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Corpus Christi, Texas. Start ASAP, 36 hours per week, 12-hour days, travel employment with a live-on-site shift schedule.

The RN will provide perinatal nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, monitor fetal status, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team. Texas license required or compact; BLS/ACLS/NRP, and FHM/C-EFM certifications preferred;

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN License in the state of Texas or compact required.
• Current certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), NRP, ACLS, and BLS (AHA only).
• Completion of New Nurse Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Recent experience in a perinatal setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given meticulously.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
